I've been fly fishing for a long time, but although I've caught Rainbows, Cutthroats, and other varieties, I'd never caught a WILD Brown Trout...that is until last week on the Sputh Holston River in east Tennessee. (Thanks to your "UNIQUE VACATION" page, I got inspired to give the hunt another try.)
This time success!!
The wild Brown Trout is a beautiful specimen of a fish when it is left to develop naturally without human interference. The one I finally caught was greenish with deep large brown and smaller red spots all along its body. I took pictures and then carefully released it back to the pristine waters of the South Holston.
Take a look at my prize. It's small but it's beautiful none the less.
