NOTE: How many fish recipes have you come across that are dedicated solely to the fly fishers palate? Probably not many, if any at all. That's why this series of recipes was developed with the help of a former first-class chef at the helm. We call it our Fly Fishing Fish Recipes series and hope you enjoy it fully. Please read on.
Okay, so you have been employing the proper
Catch and Release
techniques and communing with nature for quite a while now. You’ve followed all the rules set by the local fish and game commissions where you go to fish. You’ve been really good about cleaning up after yourself and not messing around with Mother Nature. BUT, curiosity gets to you and you are now wondering “Can’t I take just one fish for dinner without feeling guilty about it?”
Generally, I have included both a quick recipe for the sportsman on the rush and one more elaborate recipe for preparation at home when time allows and a bottle of wine is nearby.
